AT&T to Stream Anchorage High School Graduations LiveANCHORAGE, Alaska, May 8, 2008 - AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced that the company will webcast Anchorage's eight high school graduation ceremonies, making them available to a worldwide audience. "Graduation is a very special time in a young person's life, but unfortunately there are times when loved ones are too far away to take part in the special day," said Mike Felix, president, AT&T Alascom. "AT&T is pleased to offer its technology to bring people closer together by letting them share a milestone." The webcasts of the ceremonies are expected to be of particular interest to military members stationed far from home and people whose work schedules prevent them from being able to attend the events. Friends and relatives who live too far away to travel will also be able to enjoy the webcasts. "Community support for our students and their families is a key ingredient of educational success," said Carol Comeau, superintendent, Anchorage School District. "I'm glad to hear that our graduation ceremonies will be available to a wider audience. It is especially important for our military families who are deployed and stationed overseas." The graduation ceremonies will be broadcast live at www.att.com/Alascom on the following schedule:
AT&T began hosting live Web coverage of significant community events in 2007, when it broadcast high school graduations, the Alaska state high school football and hockey championships and a military welcome-home ceremony. In addition to streaming the graduations live, AT&T will keep a link to the coverage active on its Web site after the ceremonies are over.
