AT&T Sports Center Hosts Grand Opening60,000-Square-Foot Center Has Five Basketball CourtsANCHORAGE, Alaska, April 3, 2008 - AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced that a grand-opening celebration will be held at the new AT&T Sports Center on Saturday, April 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. AT&T is the official sponsor of the new $8 million sports facility, located at 1507 N. Double B St. in Wasilla. The grand-opening event is open to the public and will feature a free-throw contest and other family activities, as well as demonstrations of the latest wireless products offered by AT&T. The 60,000-square-foot sports center was completed in January 2008. It has five basketball courts - which can double as volleyball courts - as well as an indoor track, weight-training room, cardio machines, locker rooms, saunas and an aerobics room. The court space is available for use by community groups and currently hosts the Youth Valley Basketball Association. The center is also a private athletic club, with various types of memberships available and no long-term commitment required. "The new AT&T Sports Center fills a definite need here in the Valley, and we were proud to work with AT&T to make it happen," said Scott Johannes, managing member of Double B LLC, the firm that built the center. "We are very excited to have the public enjoy the facility we have worked so hard to complete."
