AT&T Donates $15,000 to Alaska Organizations

Hospice and Homecare of Juneau Receives $5,000

JUNEAU, Alaska, Feb. 14, 2008 - The AT&T Foundation, the corporate philanthropy organization of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), today announced three grants of $5,000 each to Alaska nonprofit organizations. Hospice and Home Care of Juneau is the recipient of one of the donations. The Eva Foundation in Anchorage and Special Olympics Alaska Tanana Valley in Fairbanks are the other recipients.

"We are grateful to AT&T for its support," said Kim Poole, program director, Hospice and Home Care of Juneau. "We could not carry on with our mission without the contributions of generous donors such as AT&T."

Hospice and Homecare of Juneau is a program of Catholic Community Services. It provides skilled nursing care, hospice and palliative care, bereavement support and many other services to people in southeastern Alaska.

"The work done by Hospice and Home Care of Juneau is extremely important to the community, and AT&T is happy to help support it," said Mike Felix, president of AT&T in Alaska.

The recipients of AT&T's donations in Alaska were selected by the newly formed Alaska chapter of the AT&T Pioneers. More than 350,000 people nationwide are members of the AT&T Pioneers, making it the nation's largest company-sponsored volunteer organization. In 2005, AT&T Pioneers donated more than 11.3 million hours of their time to community outreach activities. This equates to nearly $204 million worth of volunteer time. There are already more than 50 members of the AT&T Pioneers in Alaska, and each member is committed to volunteerism at the local level.

Although the focus of the AT&T Pioneers is primarily volunteerism, the AT&T Foundation makes $5,000 available annually to each chapter for local grants. Because this year is the kickoff for the Alaska Chapter, the Foundation gave triple that amount in Alaska.
