AT&T Names Patrick Fraser As Alaska's Director Of Sales

Wireless Veteran Responsible for All Retail Locations Throughout the State

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Jan. 22, 2008 - AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced the appointment of Patrick Fraser as AT&T director of Sales for wireless operations in Alaska. Fraser will guide and direct the integration efforts to transition both Alaska employees and customers from Cellular One to AT&T in all retail locations throughout the state.

"I am very excited to add Patrick to our AT&T leadership team," said Mike Maxwell, vice president and general manager for AT&T's wireless operations in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. "With his strong background in the wireless industry and passion for taking care of both customers and employees, I know that he has what it takes to successfully transition the Alaska market from Cellular One to AT&T."

With more than 10 years of wireless experience, Fraser is well-equipped to lead AT&T stores and employees throughout the various facets of the business. Throughout his successful career with AT&T, Fraser has been highly involved with the company-owned Retail, Indirect Sales and Sales Operations channels.

"With AT&T recently becoming a major wireless player in Alaska, we look forward to becoming an even more integral part of this community," said Fraser. "I am excited about this new opportunity and can't wait for our customers to experience all that AT&T has to offer."

AT&T acquired Cellular One in 2007. This venture gives customers the ability to be included in AT&T's nationwide network and to have access to the latest handsets that are exclusive to AT&T, such as the popular iPhone, AT&T TiltTM and the LG ShineTM.

Earlier this month, AT&T announced that its full suite of services is available in all 21 AT&T company stores and 51 authorized dealer locations in Alaska. AT&T has kept its promise to move quickly to make its innovative products and services available to former Cellular One customers. Alaska customers will also enjoy the same rate plans that are available to AT&T's wireless customers in all markets across the continental United States.
