AT&T Completes Acquisition of Alaska Cellular OneCustomer Benefits Include Improved Network Coverage and More Innovative Products and ServicesANCHORAGE, Nov. 15, 2007 - AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today closed its acquisition of Dobson Communications Corporation, the Oklahoma-based company that provides wireless service in Alaska under the Cellular One brand. The combination of the two companies' wireless networks will allow AT&T to deliver broader wireless coverage and additional handsets and devices to customers nationwide. "Existing Cellular One customers won't have to do anything to enjoy the expanded nationwide coverage that is a result of the merger of the two companies," said Mike Maxwell, vice president and general manager for AT&T's wireless operations in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. "A vast majority of customers can use their existing wireless phones with no interruption to service or service plans and they will soon have access to the latest and greatest AT&T products and services in stores in Alaska." AT&T will move quickly to rebrand Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems as AT&T and to make its innovative products and services available to Dobson Cellular One customers. By December 9, AT&T products, services and pricing plans will be available at all 22 Cellular One-branded company stores and 44 authorized retailers in Alaska. By that same date, temporary signage will also be installed in these stores. AT&T expects to complete the rebranding process, with permanent signage in all stores, by the end of the second quarter 2008. AT&T will honor the rate plans of Cellular One customers through their expiration. As a result of the merger, Cellular One customers in Alaska will have the opportunity to migrate to AT&T rate plans, including the option to subscribe to Rollover® Minutes, a feature exclusive to AT&T. Cellular One customers who have Mobile-to-Mobile service now will also be able to reach AT&T's 65.7 million customers without an additional charge. Information on the new offerings is available at local company stores or at www.wireless.att.com. The two companies have a long-standing roaming relationship -- meaning they used the other company's network where they didn't have their own network -- and expect a smooth transition. For example, AT&T customers roamed on the Dobson Cellular One network in Alaska. AT&T will immediately begin to implement a carefully-planned process to combine product portfolios and incorporate customer care initiatives, as well as, integrate the Cellular One and AT&T wireless networks in the rest of the nation. All Cellular One customers in Alaska will have access to the nation's largest digital voice and data network, offering those customers maximum convenience and flexibility wherever they are. Cellular One customers traveling abroad will also have the advantage of access to service in more than 220 countries.
