AT&T ALASCOM PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY OVERSEAS
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, May 15, 2007 - AT&T Alascom, a subsidiary of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), has again donated video services and technology that will enable U.S. troops stationed overseas and in the lower 48 states to watch as family members graduate from local high schools. Starting today, AT&T Alascom will capture eight Anchorage area graduations at the Sullivan Arena using streaming video teleconferencing technology. "Graduating from high school is a proud moment not only for students but also their families and friends. I commend AT&T Alascom for ensuring that the brave Alaskans deployed throughout the world are able to enjoy these memorable occasions. This service exemplifies the strong commitment all Alaskans have to those who defend our great nation," said United States Senator Ted Stevens, R-Alaska. AT&T Alascom will provide access to the archived files on their Web site for 60 days after the ceremonies. Workers on Alaska's North Slope will be able to view the video as well. "With the continuous advancement of videoconferencing services and Internet capabilities, it is an honor to provide troops with the opportunity to watch their children receive high school diplomas within minutes of real time, from thousands of miles away," said AT&T Alascom President Mike Felix. "For example, both parents of a student graduating from East High School are deployed overseas. The family is elated because they will have the opportunity to watch their son walk across the stage within minutes of it actually happening." Links for both the live ceremonies and the on-demand viewing can be found at www.AttAlascom.com. The first of eight Anchorage area high school graduations begins with Bartlett High School on Tuesday, May 15, at 2 p.m. in the Sullivan Arena.
